Has anyone tried this orthotic insert?

I was searching online for orthotic-friendly ballet flats (contradiction in terms!) and I found mention of this OTC orthotic insert that is supposed to work in flatter shoes with not a lot of room. Has anyone tried it? I think I may check them out. I have Rx orthotics but they basically fit in nothing except my sneakers (and they're the slimline kind!).

I haven't tried that particular brand, but I've got a "slim" leather-topped orthotic in my ballet flats and was surprised with how comfy it was without socks; I may never do synthetic-topped orthotics again.

I experiment with orthotics all the time, for my fussy feet. Your feet deserve the comfort, so I say go ahead and experiment!

ETA: http://www.zappos.com/orthahee.....lue-orange is one of two types of orthotics I have in my ballet flats at the moment. The blue bottom makes it hard to wear in sandals.

I use the Birkenstock brand blue footbeds in my ballet flats. I buy the narrow width, and they fit perfectly, and are comfortable in most shoes.

I don't wear ballet flats but they fit in my slim oxfords. I have very flat feet with PF issues so I need a rigid orthotic, and these fit the bill very nicely. I do have very low-volume feet so if you have higher arches you may not be able to fit them into your slim shoes the way I do.

YAY for trying out new insoles! Let me know how they fit, so I can try them out myself.

My Orthoheels just barely fit in my FSNY flats (which have admittedly low sides), comfortably in my Stuart Weitzman's (same as these), and make my too-big Steven Madden flats slightly less gappy (seen here).

Report: They fit into my FS/NY flats no problem! Yay! Can't wait to try them out in other shoes--maybe even my Converse!

Sorry - only just got back to this! I wear my Birkenstock insoles in everything - Converse, trainers, boots, and cheapy ballet flats from local department stores. The narrow ones are small enough to fit most shoes and just add a little bit more support.
