Has anyone seen/tried this Ann Taylor dress?

With all the love going around for Ann Taylor at the moment, I couldn't help but sneak a peek at their website. This dress has kept me looking back at it several times. I posted before about wanting 1 or 2 more dresses to wear as "going out" frocks and I wonder if this could be a potential?

Does anyone know what this fabric is like? Does it have a bodice or some way to ensure it securely stay up on its own? Khaki isn't a colour I wear much at all, but I really like the pattern on this one.

I like the pattern too, Tam, and the style reminds me a lot of the pretty black dress you wore to a formal (race day?) event a few months ago.

I was in Ann Taylor today and plan to go back tomorrow. I will look for this dress and let you know about the fabric and bodice.

Kari it is a nice pattern isn't it. I'm still eyeing off a purple dress that looks similar to the black dress I wore to the races. This dress is different enough that there's a possibility it may work.

Debbie I would appreciate that so much. From the description its hard to know if this is a dressy or more casual fabric.

Angie that would be great as well. This dress really appeals to me for some reason. Also, where are all these red Ann Taylor items. You know I am always on the lookout for red!!!!

I've only seen it online, and its print definitely caught my eye. It's too cute!

Re. your question about stuff appearing online before it makes it into stores: I think it happens a lot. Once I saw a cool item in Vogue magazine, of all places, that was from Ann Taylor Loft. I called the store to see if they had it (it was online but sold out in almost every size) and she said they had never gotten it in.

Interesting about the online versus store thing. From Angie's post suggesting there were more new things in store (particularly the lovely sounding RED things), I just assumed it was the other way around. Maybe there is a bit of both?
