Yes I have been browsing the Nordies website YET AGAIN. And yet again something has caught my eye, namely this MICHAEL Michael Kors Cowl Neck Bubble Hem Dress

Love the cowl neck, the colours, the semi-tye dye print. Has anyone seen/tried it on. Would love to hear what the fit and fabric are like. It looks nice and summery, but its only just come out recently I think, so is the fabric warmer than it appears to be?

It's been on the site for a few weeks now (I bookmarked it straight away I loved it that much) but there isn't a single review yet. Does that mean it's terrible and no-one is buying? Am I right in thinking 35" sounds too short for a dress (I'm 5"10)

ETA~ I just measured my shortest dress and it's 37" and I'm 5'7" so I definately think it will be too short for you sans leggings x

Wow - That is definately a very you dress! It would look fabulous on you, except I have to agree with Louise in that I think it would be pretty short on you.

However.......if you don't mind it being short, and you wore it coupled with those incredibly edgy high heels that I think you bought(?), it could make for a sexy going out clubbing type dress. (If you do that sort of thing.)

That is one gorgeous dress! Re. the length: I always double-check with dresses I own (measure them, then see how long they are on me) before taking the plunge. But I probably wouldn't worry too much about this particular dress, because it looks ideal to wear over leggings, leans, and skinnies (though I suppose that bubble hem could be tricky, maybe, hard to tell without trying it on).

If I weren't on a shopping ban, I might snap this up myself! It seems like it would be very versatile.

Louise, yep I love leggings! Was hoping to be able to wear it as a dress rather than a tunic though. That may not be possible it seems!

KP there is short, and there is obscene and it can be a fine line between the two!

Jonesy ehehe do let me know if you crumble. I don't mind the bubble hem, just means there's no chance of being able to let it down.

Marianna yes it is gorgeous. Do you think 35" is too short though? Gotta do some dress measuring I thinK!!!!

Tee-hee about that obscene comment! When you get up to QLD, you may just find yourself half closing your eyes some of the time. It certainly took quite a while for my eyes to adjust to the short and revealing nature of some of the dresses/outfits I've seen girls wearing out and about in town..... (Some can get away with it. Some.......)

Definately measure it against the length of your favourite dresses to see how it compares. If you buy it, you have to do a WiW though. Because if I finally got my camera fixed, you can get yours fixed too. (Yes, I'm issuing you a challenge!)

I think it's seasonless, unique and feminine/bohemian. Very versatile!

Hehe KP, sadly my camera is lost not broken, so getting it fixed is not an option. I've been trying to order another camera online but the one I want seems to be out of stock everywhere in red......grrrr!!! Maybe its a sign I should just give up my red obsession!!!

Anchi how tall are you?? Maybe you can get it and I can enjoy it vicariously through you. I agree it is divine.

I just measured a few of my dresses, and 38" seems to be the perfect length for me to hit just above the knees & be able to wear a dress comfortably with or without leggings. Am I right in thinking there's no way to take down a bubble hem??

Although I would love to wear this even as a tunic, I fear that with the hot months of summer looming I should concentrate more on things that can be worn standalone as dresses. Although if no-one's buying it as the lack of reviews suggest, maybe it will go on sale. Always a bright side, right?

I don't know if you could let down the hem and keep the bubble, but I bet if you're willing to lose the bubble, you could use the extra fabric that turns underneath to get a few inches of extra hemline. Hmmm...now that I'm thinking, I wonder if a tailor could add a few inches of different fabric to the underside of the bubble. Do you have a regular tailor you takes alterations to? It might be worth a call to see if they think they could pull it off.

Tam, that dress is incredible and so totally you. I would get it regardless of the length and if it turns out to be too short, wear it as a tunic over skinnies/leans/leggings.

OK so the SF shopping update is.....my mum has bought this for me and has it in her hot little hands. She says its a light, summery fabric so hopefully it'll work out ok. FIngers crossed!!!!
