I've spotted 2 dresses that caught my eye on nordstrom's website:

- Calvin Klein Jeans Smocked Denim Dress
- Kenneth Cole New York Drape Front Dress

Has anyone seen/tried on either of these? At 36 and 38 inches they are actually dresses of a decent length! I'm curious!

I haven't seen the first one although it is really cute. I dont' think it would be all that great on a busty gal, but I think it would be fabulous on you.

I had the second one on my very body and I really liked it but the sales girl talked me into another denim CK instead. At 5' 6 1/2" (you do the cm conversion..) it hit me right at the top of my knee cap. I actually wouldn't have wanted it any longer. In fact, it may have hit me mid-knee. I loved the feel of the mesh fabric and it hung really nicely. It was 2 layers of mesh so you didnt' need a slip at all. If I had bought it I would have tacked that front drape part down right under my bustline to give it a bit more waist definining structure... the salesgirl agreed with me on that. It seemed to be a dress that could be dressed up or down. I think it would look great on you!

The second style, the KC, is going into the YLF store this week. It's perfect for tall gals! It hangs low in the front though, so you'll need a cami or dicky of sorts unless you're happy exposing some cleavage. It's very easy to wear and launder. Feather light for Summer. A-line, so waist definition.

The first style is sweet! It might be short though, Tam.

Oh my, that KC dress looks fab to me - plus the mesh fabric is so wonderful in hot weather.

The CK Jean dress has interesting bodice detail, but would it be so different from your other dark (i.e. black) dresses?

Saw the KC black and white dress in store today -- it's mesh, so very lightweight. Bet it would be versatile!

I've seen the CK dress in Macy's. They were out of my size but it looked nicely made. I can't speak to length, it was long on me, but I'm only 5'3" so most dresses are long to me.

MNsara good point about the dark denim being close to black. Plus I think this denim trend will date faster than a cute print will. So the mesh one is the official front-runner right now

Angie/Queenie, what is the back of the mesh dress like? I reeeaaallly like the look of this dress, and to hear its good enough to go into the ylf store makes me even more tempted!!! How is the sizing of the mesh dress....would size 10 = medium do you think??
