I'm on the ferocious hunt for a black, waist surrendering, long sleeve dress. Has anyone seen one?

I like that all of these are short. You gotta bring the sexy back somehow if you are going to surrender it all up top. What is your inspiration for this style? I have to admit I totally don't get it!

I haven't seen them in person, but of the ones you posted, I like the MK one the best.

Wow, I can't believe it is that hard to find a long-sleeve black sack dress! Maybe give it a little while longer? This seems like something retailers would carry more into the fall season.

Have you thought about finding a pattern and the material you'd ideally like and pulling it together yourself (or having a seamstress pull it together for you)? I'm finding that I'm leaning toward that for some items this fall.

given the price of that MK one, you could buy 2 and have a seamstress use the second one to make sleeves. I"m wondering though if long sleeves+ waist surrendering might be a bit too much in the lack of structure department. It seems that the short sleeves on this style seem to balance the roominess of the body.

ETA- I do like that Trina Turk one. It still has the integrity of structure.

I got a Rag & Bone black silk dress with long sleeves that surrenders the waist at Nordstrom in Via C department. I can't find it anywhere online. Not sure if it was from Fall RTW or Pre-Fall RTW. It sorta has a tuxedo vibe to the front with ties that hang loose from the neck.
