Okay, here's that black jersey Garnet Hill dress. It has an odd shelf bra that isn't really helpful, and it is very non-fitted, but very it's comfy and a much nicer material than the flimsy cotton I imagined it might be. It seems to have an Eileen Fisher aesthetic. Keep? Shorten?
Also, here's a plaid tunic thing I picked up for $10 at the local grocery/everything store. I would not wear it with these leggings, of course, but I was too lazy to change them. It's a size big so I can wear something warm under it, and I was hoping it would have this kind of effect for $118 less:

Finally, a kurta from India (Fabindia, specifically) - this is a typical length for me and I wear it with skinnies (as well as the traditional Indian salvar/churidar). No-no?
