Has anyone noticed this?

I went to goodwill yesterday with a friend and I was amazed at a top I saw. Usually, the things I see at my goodwill range from last year's style (thanks whoever donated the sky blue khakis) to bad 80's and 90s fashion (I'm looking at you Ann Taylor lace bodysuits). But for the first time, I saw something that is still on sale at the original store at Goodwill. It was a sheer brown and while polka dot Old Navy top. The link for the black and white one is below.

I guess I'm just amazed at how quickly someone bought it and decided they didn't want it anymore. Has anyone else seen this at their thrift stores?

My thrift stores now get stuff from closeout/clearance - I see new stuff from Target and other low-end department stores like Lamonts fairly often, and in multiples. I think it's where clearance stuff goes to die or be rehomed.

Some of our stores send their seconds to the thrift stores, but that doesn't account for all the current things I see. I think it's indicative of the throw away society we live in. People buy something, wear it once and maybe decide they don't really like it, etc and out it goes.

No, but we don't have regular Dept stores here, nor Goodwill or Salv. Army. So it follows that we wouldn't have still available items at our second hand stores since we don't even have the still available items AT ALL.
