I don't know if that heel might still be too much fuss for me, but they sure are cute and basically just what I wanted stylistically.

Also, if anyone is interested, I am surprised at how comfy the Blowfish booties are. They don't pinch or hurt anywhere, but they are too high. My foot feels over-arched in them after a few steps. Of course, my feet are naturally flat so it takes very little to make them feel over-arched.

Well, you and I are telepathic Maya - won't be the fist time.

I am putting these babies into the store next week. Have had them on my feet, and on other feet. KILLER comfy and quite wide. Perfect for a slim ankle and calf. Some of my clients felt they lacked arch support and another thought they were wobbly - but generally they are worth trying.

I would pop in an insole too.

Did they feel lower than the Blowfish booties to you? My feet are flat as a board so any kind of heel is automatic arch support for me. How is sizing?

Oooh, they look great! Are they wide enough for someone who *needs* wide width? I have been buying medium widths and just sizing up, which *usually* works....if they fit like the Blowfish Wheaton (as far as width goes) I am IN! So sorry Blowfish wont work for you, Maya

I found them lower than the blow fish for sure. With a few insoles, I may have stuck to a 7 just because I like my boots roomy. May I suggest you try a size 7.

Maya I love them. I am still on the hunt for ankle boots too. I was afraid the heel was to high for me. If they work on you I think you have a winner. Let us know. But if Angie approved I sure they are great.

Excellent. I usually get a 7 in boots and booties so that is probably right. Leaves room for an insole and socks.

If there is extra room, I just wear thicker socks. Isn't that part of why boots are so great? The fit doesn't have to be as precise as other types of shoes. I'm SO GLAD fall is here *blissful sigh*

Anyway, I will order these just as soon as I get credited for the Blowfish and Nine West booties. I also have a pair of oxfords and loafers on the radar. So many shoes, so little money...

Once they're in the store and I have them on my feet, a review will be written!

I think you would love the Blowfish ones Tanya. They are extremely comfy and you won't have a problem with the height (I put them at 2.5-3 inches...Zappos says 2.25 but that is definitely off). I'd send you mine if we wore the same size!

Nice boot! Maya - is this a boot you will wear with skirts/dresses?

I only wear pants, so although I like the heel and the toe, the other nice details would not be seen if I wore a boot like this.

I was going to buy the Taylor from Frye, which is essentially a cowboy boot with a heel. But I can see that this boot is more current looking. Do you think I "date" myself by being too "classic" in my selections, even though that is what I am drawn to. I guess my question is - do I need to "modernize" my look?

I will wear these with skirts/dresses and over jeans.

And unless you're wearing "classic" pieces from 1982, no, I don't see that as being a problem. Plenty of members here are classic dressers and look fantabulous. April and Michelle can be your role models.

That said, I don't think of the Taylor boots as extremely classic.

I looked for these at Nordstrom a couple of weeks ago. Ended up seeing them at the Steve Madden store. I was disappointed at how scuffed the leather looked. Now I'm wondering if the color I saw was cream or something else. Maybe I should put them back in my shopping cart : )

Are they scuffed? Even in black? Interesting. I don't think that would bother me. Most of my boots end up scuffed anyway!
