Has anyone else received the NAS preview?

It’s kinda weird, not an actual catalog like previous years
More house stuff than I expected, like a Dyson mop. I know Macy’s is in trouble, but Nordstrom isn’t Macy’s & in my opinion shouldn’t be.
It’s also weird there’s only two pics of men, & they’re with women, one isn’t even fully in frame
I’ll try to upload pics later

They do have a patchwork jacket, referencing Angie’s blog post today
I do like the Steve Madden mules, though they’re a bit of a knock-off JW Anderson, but that brand has been copying designer styles for years

Got mine yesterday....I was not impressed. I bought nothing last year, and will be very selective again..in recent years, I wait until fall comes and buy what I like...which usually isn't what was in the sale. But I ALWAYS will look because in many past years, I have found things I like. Unfortunately they no longer carry many of the basics I rely on, so can't use them for the stock up. My DH used to get many basics there too, but again, they no longer carry things he needs or likes. I think we ae both too old....I'm no longer in the right "demographic"....I think that may be a good thing!

I got one -- barely more than a pamphlet. Nothing really grabbed me.

We have that Dyson, BTW. Didn't buy it from Nordstrom though.

I wonder if that patchwork jacket is Avec Les Filles? I have a jacket almost exactly the same but done aviator style in terms of materials… so close it would make the patchwork pointless, but I rather like it.

I didn't get one. I did buy house items last year at NAS, and am looking for a new mattress pad this year, so I'll be curious what they have in housewares. And, if they have the Natori Feathers bra again, I usually pick up a few of those as well. It appears that hybrid working from both home and office will be my future, so I am likely to check out the gear, too. My kids and DH have also done well with recent NAS purchases, since they often need upgrades on basics.

I did well last year, but I put a lot of thought into it on the front end. My big purchases were a Patagonia Better Sweater, and Ugg boots to wear as slippers. I wore both a lot last season, working from home and hiking. I also restocked magic undies. Unless something just strikes me, I'll probably just restock undies, I'm really in decent shape overall since almost nothing was worn last year except gear.

I flipped through it and was surprised at how lean it was. Perhaps there will be an online version that has more substance? I typically don't buy much from NAS but I love Angie's recs and to see everyone else's haul. I'm going to miss that this year.

I received mine yesterday. I was shocked

I do not understand the motivation behind the choices of the visuals. It does not look like a Nordstrom catalogue. At least not the Nordstrom I have been used to shopping at for the last 17 years.

That said, I spoke to a SA I work closely with today about it. And as usual, the catalogue is a poor reflection of what is available at the NAS. I am holding out hope!

Yeah, it was weird. Looks like they have a different lingerie wash. Wonder if they will still have the old regular one as part of NAS?

Back to say I got it today. Just brought in the mail. I think the term that applies is a "big nothing-burger." But I see that preview starts online 6 July.

I miss the lavender lingerie wash and I ended up buying something else last year that I don't like quite as well Not planning to make any major purchases at NAS this year, just a few boring basics.

I looked forward to the catalog, but such a disappointment! It came yesterday.

I usually buy new underwear and a pair of shoes or boots. We’ll see.

I don't participate in NAS because being on the other side of the globe does not make it practical for me - but I always enjoy seeing the posts and everyone's fabulous new season updates. A definite sign of the times.... lets hope that Angie's SA is right that the instore offering will be far better.

I haven’t seen it yet…but will say, given the timelines that my company has for putting this kinds of catalogues together, I’m not surprised that it leans safe and has more home/household items than we are used to…and add all the supply chain issues…I’m surprised they put out a printed/mailed piece, safer would have been to have an on line piece only to insure that the product is actually available.

Nope, don't have the catalogue, and didn't buy anything at last years NAS. The black dress looks nice, but I don't need it!

I received mine and it looked skimpy. I hope the online preview is better. Last year I purchased towels, a tote and a Patagonia better sweater jacket.

Hmm, looks like last year from NAS I kept a Halogen skirt, a leopard Vince Camuto top, and a trove of Tory Burch shoes. I usually check for Tory Burch purses and shoes because they are really well made and this is about the only time I can find good pieces on sale.

The layout and presentation reminded me of the current “influencers” frantic mode of trendy product pushing. In fact, they used the word influencer right in the pamphlet! I’m seriously hoping the actual product selection will be more accessible to us non-influencers!

In the meantime, I’m enjoying my summer wardrobe in summer and won’t worry about anything fall for at least 3 months!

I actually just got mine…and maybe because I’m looking at it thru the lens of a retailer, and maybe because i read everyone’s comments here 1st, but i was impressed. I thought it was smart and well thought out. It called attention to the brands that will be part of the sale without committing to any particular items or prices (given the supply chain issues super smart, IMO) and highlighted the over all feel of casual and comfy but ready for being out and about. Yes it’s different from other years, but given that we are still in the middle of a world wide pandemic, i think this is the new normal.

I have a feeling they are still not sending me physical mail because I was once an employee...I used to work in the dept responsible for mailing lists and they had a manual suppression list that we were required to be on. I have a feeling it never gets updated even though I've been gone for over 5 years now!

I got the pamphlet, which was mainly useful for informing me that I have some status that will let me see the early preview earlier than the late preview or some such confusing verbiage.

I will be on the lookout for a stunning-yet-casual cold-weather Mother of the Groom dress for a dear friend whose son is getting married in Denver in autumn. She can't stop looking at tropical beachwear dresses and I keep saying, "It's DENVER. In the AUTUMN. Brrrrrr..."

kkards, I feel like a dope not thinking about supply chain issues. Every time I go to the store with Dad, he gets cranky because XYZ isn't there. And I have to explain again. Heck, for a while we had Costco gloves at work.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
I will have to stop myself from buying things that more for fun socialization.

ETA I do desperately need new bras. And should probably get refitted, something I'm not looking forward to

Anna unfortunately because I am in retail I’m thinking about it all the time. Port X is closed due to an outbreak, factory Y is behind 2 months because country X was shut down and one of the main components are manufactured there, product Z is ready for pick up in a US city but there isn’t a truck available for 2 weeks.we’ve been revising
Inventory expected dates daily. On the other hand, I’m working from home and did not have the stress of dealing with the health care crisis for the last 15 months.
