Hi friends, just wanted to take a minute to share an Irish tradition with you. Women's Christmas, or Nollaig na mBan in Gaelic, is the day Irish women would traditionally take a day off their family duties and enjoy the last of the Christmas treats with female friends and community members, while the husbands and children took care of themselves for a day, as a reward for all their hard work over the holidays. My dad was sharing that my Grandma would even (gasp!!) enjoy a glass of sherry with her friends! But mostly they would enjoy tea, cake and conversation. A self care tradition before self care was cool.

Whether or not you celebrate Christmas, I hope you can find some time to do something kind for yourself today!! Xox Beannachtaí Nollaig na mBan to you all!
