I was very lucky to not be alone last night. I have a relatively new colleague at work who is French ( I wrote a while ago about her on YLF since I was admiring her style). It turns put that she is also an amazing cook - her father is a professional caterer. And her husband is a professional pastry chef! They both love to cook and have people over. So they had about 10 people over last night, mostly from work, and cooked this amazing 5-course French dinner. Even with my messed up taste buds I could tell how delicious everything was. The also have a lovely grey kitty named Dusty that I got to meet. It was a wonderful evening, though I got very tired around 11 pm - apparently my energy levels are still very low. Nevertheless it was a great beginning to 2014!
I was also incredibly excited to attend a mini YLF meeting the day before with Janet, JG and Zap and her lovely baby-Zap. It wonderful meeting Zap and her daughter and seeing the other ladies again. And I get to see Zap again tonight!
