Happy Mother's Day!

Wanted to wish all the mom's a happy mother's day. What is everyone doing today? And more importantly, what will you wear?

I'm relaxing with my coffee - the teens aren't even awake yet. Later we are going to brunch with MIL as well. I am going to wear the ATL shirt dress - probably over the skinnies, since the wind today is giving the air a bit of a chill.

Happy Mother's Day to you too, Shiny!

Only the ladies are up at our house so far. Princess Stomping Foot has a breakfast menu prepared for me, and I'm hoping The Rusty Knight gets up soon to get my paper. We don't have anything planned, other than Rusty cooking ribs for dinner (not my choice!). I have no idea what I will wear yet.

After reading Angie's heartwarming blogpost, I can only say that a mum is in many ways the most important style icon a daughter will ever have. And boy, are the ladies here doing a great job at being stylish! Hope you all have a lovely day!

Too Fun, Happy Mother's Day to all you Fab Looking Mom's out there!!

I'm wearing white denim capri's, white fitted t, adorable little light denim jacket I got at Consignment yesterday that has pearl & rhinestone detail (a steal for $8 as it's like brand new), a tiny freshwater pearl drop necklace, silver oval hoops.

I got out of the shower this morning, DH had already taken out the puppies & made us latte's. Then, we all headed to church. Home now for a bit. Then, will attend a graduation open house. Run this afternoon with another stylish mom in my neghborhood that is a good friend. Then, grilled chicken breast (my favorite). Kids should be home with us all day so a perfect day for me!

Happy Mother's Day all. I have mother's day brunch scheduled with my mom and dad this AM and we're making dinner for hubby's mom tonight. I'm going to be trying my hand at making creme brulee for the first time. Hope it turns out well but if not, we can walk to frozen yogurt nearby so all would not be lost.

Not sure what to wear yet. I better to figuring it out soon.

I had to leave for a business trip this morning, but was able to catch a great Sunday morning breakfast with my son, husband and our friend. I received a handmade gift from my 17-months old son along with a card. It made me feel very emotional.

Happy Mothers' Day. We celebrated this past week with our sons who live in Asia and out of state here for a rare visit. Today for early Mass I didn't have much time to think about what to wear and went with cream Talbot's dress pants, pink silk knit shell under a RL lavender blazer with silk floral scarf in purples and rose, cream bag and nude snakeskin sling-back small heels.
Later for an outdoorsy forest walk I changed into brown RL jean-cut pants, long-sleeved graphic tee and Gap denim jacket accessorized with a black cotton scarf knotted in front, then tied in back, and grey Converse.

Happy mothers day, mothers!

My brother and I made a nice afternoon tea brunch and set it up outside on the deck. I baked scones for the first time and we had sandwiches, biscotti, muffins, and a little olive platter as well (my mom and I eat our weight in olives). Later we'll be going out to dinner.

My mom was so cute. She got me a gift and gave me a happy mother's day card from my kitty, complete with little paw print inside!

For the brunch I decided to wear my "smart" outfit from the Brulee post: white blouse, trouser jeans, and of course the Brulees. Also had some earrings that Donna so kindly sent me, and Angie's white watch.

For dinner, I plan to wear my Shiny dress and a necklace April sent me

We've been celebrating all weekend.

Friday, we met our midwife and doula at an Ethiopian restaurant to celebrate my son's first birthday...and a year of breastfeeding for me!

Saturday, my mom and I went to a Mother's Day brunch and fashion show at a local jazz bistro. I wore the ATL sheath dress that you just purchased (I got mine for Easter, on sale).

Today, we all went to church. I wore a tank, cardigan, chunky pearls, dark denim straight skirt, and nude peep toe pumps. We are doing lunch at home. DH is going out to study. I'm going shopping. Mom is babysitting. I'm making pizzas later, and we'll watch movies and relax. Good times...

We're having a lovely spring day in Chicago, and I wore a Studio M brand wrap dress I scored at Macy's on Friday for $21! We moms know how to bargain hunt.

My sons have been on a truck kick. It's all they talk about and play ... big rigs, tankers, car carriers -- it never ends. So at lunch, my husband said, "Let's talk about something Mommy likes." And my son turned to me and said, "Okay, Mom. What kind of trucks do YOU like?"

Happy Mother's day to everyone! We went out for lunch and I also got a stack of paintings from my 4 year old. I wore the YLF no-brainer outfit - white jeans, black tuxedo shirt, pewter Swanns, silver bracelet. It's finally warm and sunny.

That's hilarious, Laura! My son was also obsessed with machinery from the start. I never thought I would become such an expert in construction vehicle denomination. My daughter is completely different - she is into animals, flowers and other kids, but I don't think she even notices cars or trucks.

Saw my children and precious grandaughter..beautiful weather, my dad cooked us a spaghetti feast at his home ...lovely day all around.

My kids gave me cards and gifts they had made (or I had helped them make!) at playgroup, daycare and school. I even got a very tiny trophy!

I wore a purple skirt, black collared sleeveless top with a denim jacket and m metallic sandals to church
DH washed up at lunch (my DD5 told him to!)

We sent cards and had phone conversations with our mothers, who are a few hours away (we have seen them within the last month)

In the evening we had a meal at church and lots of activities about poverty and responses to it. It has given me lots of food for thought. I didn't dress up and it seemed trivial to care. Owing to others being in the wash I wore my old jeans (not PPL) with the same black top as the morning and a long green cardi.
