Thank you all so much. I haven't been shopping in a long while, so this morning I treated myself to a trip to the mall. I didn't buy much though - a dark denim pencil skirt (my first - we'll see how it goes) and a really pretty scarf at the GAP (great colors.) I have to say, my local Nordies was not wowing me. I sort of liked the brown Caslon leather jacket, but didn't love it-love it. YLF has made me ultra picky.
If you will indulge me - it was exactly two years ago, on my 50th birthday, that I began my quest to change my style. Finding YLF has been manna in the wilderness, and I can't express to all of you how much I value your support, opinions, and friendships. This is a remarkable forum, and even though I'm not participating much now (due to limited funds for shopping, and trying to concentrate on writing a book) I still check in almost daily and I always feel like I'm in a safe place with good friends. I know I still have a lot of kinks to work out, style-wise (will I ever find jeans that fit?) but I know I've come a long way. Now, please excuse me - I have to figure out what to wear to dinner tonight!
