I am sorry that I didn't wish you this morning. NYFW is hectic and it slipped my mind at the YLF gathering today. But better late than never - I hope.

Michelle, I can't put into words how much it means to me that you trust YLF to be your style eyes. You have brought tears to my eyes many times as I see you action a formula or style concept with the utmost finesse and precision.

Your capabilities know no bounds. You are a total inspiration to me in countless ways. Your eloquence, intuition and emotional intelligence are pure power. Your sense of humour, thoughtfulness and warmth are the cherry on top.

I hope that you know that there is much love for you on this forum. And that you ROCK MY STYLE WORLD, along with your beautiful and gorgeous Reva (with McClure in our hearts).

We hope that you had a great birthday and that you felt celebrated. Know that you are special.

Michelle, meeting you first here on the forum and then in real life has been a highlight of my YLF experience. Your elegant classic style, gorgeous colouring, and insightful, witty, and terrifically wise words always make your posts rewarding reading. It shouldn't have surprised me to learn that, in a way, we already "knew" each other before we met here.

For those who haven't heard this story, Michelle assisted in the editing of an anthology to which I contributed several years ago—one of those amazing and wonderful coincidences that, on reflection, don't really seem so coincidental after all, because in her writing and editing as well as her clothing, Michelle lives and breathes great style!

May your birthday be a wonderful one, Michelle, filled with love, laughter, and beauty.

Oh my goodness - what a wonderful birthday present to return home to!
Angie: Those are such sweet words, made all the more meaningful because they came from one of my personal role-models. Thank you so very much - my life has changed because of you, Greg and Ylf and that's all there is to it. Thank you for remembering my Woofer, too. And Reva takes a bow.
All of you, thank you so much for the lovely greetings! They really did make my day, which was pretty awesome already what with catching up with friends and a delightful dinner out at a french restaurant with Corey. I'll post more about this in the WIW thread I'm about to put up.
Suz: I didn't personally edit your text, but was a student of your editor's while the book was being compiled (for those in the know, this was while I was taking a copyediting course in grad school). Either way, a very small world indeed, and one of those coincidences that makes me smile.
Sveta and Suz: meeting you both in person was a definite highlight, and we'll have to do it again!
Natalie: Thank you for being more descriptive in your wiws! You've made me covet a few outfits already (two words, snakeskin skinnies).
