You are a Gem Extraodinaire, and a Mensch Deluxe. I am proud and privileged to call you my close friend. It makes me sad that you are so far away, and that I hardly see you. But thank heavens for email, so we can chat many times a day, sharing loads of laughter, excitement as well as stressful and tearful moments together.

First, there is your killer style, Queen Stripe, Queen Lilac, Queen Scarf, Queen Bootcut Trousers and Queen Best Posture In the World. You are a thoroughly Urban and Statuesque Belgian Beauty who radiates a special something wherever she is. We share a love for all things Modern, Simple, Clean, Dressy and Bold. We love items that are as androgynous as they are ladylike and pretty. We appreciate the power of the classics and prefer to sport short hair. We love all things white, graphic, and identify with our early ‘80s punk streak. We stay away from high heels and love walking fast. We enjoy cooking, animals and interior design as much as we enjoy fashion and style. We are Kindred Style Spirits - and how fun is that. It’s so, so, SO brilliant to share these loves with you sweet lady, I can barely stand it.

Although it’s fabulously fun each day to share our aesthetic preferences, styles, and hobbies with each other, what I appreciate most about you is your amazing inner style and beauty. Your ability to show compassion, warmth, sensitivity, creativity and empathy are incomparable, Inge. It blows my mind. Your manners are immaculate and you have the nicest and lovliest way about you. It wows me daily, just how likable and huggable you are. You are extremely thoughtful and helpful. You are always positive, balanced, intelligent and open minded. You find solutions to problems fast and furiously, and get on with it. Your gentleness and high level of engagement are endearing and captivating, making us all feel like we matter. You’re like magical soothing balm and a constant ray of sunshine in our lives. Those who meet you can’t help but love you to pieces.

I can’t adequately express what your ongoing support and love throughout the illnesses and passing of our precious girls has meant to me. This selfless support has made a lasting impression and I will never forget it. I can’t thank you enough for being there, Inge. YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL.
