Thanks ladies, I have indeed had an extended celebation with My Mum sending me a present early (digital kitchen scales that can even measure fluids. Having used Mum's handmedown 40 year old one for years, I am in love!) and my good friend took me out to coffee on Tues and I received a few more pressies on Thurs (including the only fashion related one, a chunky purple necklace).
On Sat my girls ordered me back to bed and the older 2 dressed up as a chef and a maid and gave me breakfast in bed! My DH gave me something I have been wanting for ages - a casserole that can go both on the gas hob and the oven, (and the microwave) which is 5litre which will be helpful with all the entertaining and bulk cooking I do. My girls made mini cupcakes in the afternoon and then we went out for an early meal at a Thai restaurant and THEN out for dessert (unusual extravagance to have both in the same night). I overate somewhat (Lemon Meringue pie) and went to bed by 9:30.
