Happy New Year, everyone - it's officially midday on 1st January here! Here's hoping we're all granted more happiness & health in 2022, & less COVID *ahem*

The NYE countdown here usually happens around Victoria Harbour, which is the waters between Kowloon & Hong Kong Island (& probably the most light polluted part of HK, lol). They have a light show every evening but the NYE & Chinese New Year shows tend to be special, with fireworks etc.

Unfortunately they did not have any fireworks this year But imagine our surprise to see the multiple buildings in that area coordinated an LED firework lights display instead! This is our first NYE in the new place - shot this from our balcony, where you can also see Lion Rock, another famous HK skyline addition (on the Kowloon side). Facing east means we get the sunrise too, which makes me happy - natural light!

Anyway, just wanted to share some photos from the new place, because it's a big milestone for me (first time living alone with DH - stayed with my in-laws for years before this)! We found this place in October, but moved ourselves in November (stocking a kitchen from scratch is hard work!), & are now *finally* started to feel settled (in January!) We still don't have a TV, but baby steps yet, lol...

I've mentioned that I have a 'smaller' closet here (shallower but taller), but I've already done some purging & am finding it amazing to be able to *see* everything at once without bumping into people (no more cavernous hallway closet!) And we have a proper, wall-attached mirror now - so except to see more of my OOTDs/ WiWs this year!

PS - I believe this is my first time posting to the Off-Topic forum (I keep forgetting it exists, which probably explains most of my previous thread hijacks - doh!) Sorry if you've been a victim of this in the past - my 2022 resolution will be to rehabilitate & reform myself from 'menace to YLF society' to 'upstanding Fabber'
