May you all keep well in 2010!

Happy New Year! I hope 2010 is a great year for everyone. I'm so glad I stumbled upon YLF. I have enjoyed metting everyone.

We just got home from dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant and will spend the rest of the evening hanging out at home.

We experienced snow again and the Old Year's Night celebrations for Hogmanay were officially cancelled in Edinburgh (Boo).

We had Ben's parents around for a quiet drink and we tried to stay up until 12 but only managed 11.30 *LOL*

The New Years Day street party has been cancelled as the street is just a thick layer of black ice.

The party may have been cancelled but I'm optimistic for the New Year. My little Emmy was born in February of 2009 but it has been a very difficult year for us financially. The figurative green shoots are starting to flower in our garden and I'm so thankful for so many great things in my life including YLF.

I'm wishing you all a healthy, prosperous and stylish 2010.

Quentin Tarantino night was lots of fun. Only about a quarter of the people at the bar we went to dressed up true to character, but everyone kind of glamed up a little (lots of LBDs).

Lots of black bob wigs for females and this one guy who seriously could be Samuel L Jackson's double! There was a barman in a yellow jump suit!

After losing some weight this year (and more to go) I find dressing up hard and I am still really uncomfortable on nights like this. I wore a black top from Coast and a new pencil length skirt from Benetton. I then wore mirconets and some satin covered 4 inch pumps that always make me feel glam. I don't have a full length photo, but here is a half length one - http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/.....directlink

The night was a really fun one and in fact it was the first time I had celebrated with one of my close friends since NYE 1999!

Only downside was that I managed to pick up a stomach bug and have been curled up on the sofa for the last two days. Things can only get better right?

A belated Happy New year to everyone! Let's hope that 2010 is much, much better than 2009.
