iPhone and love it. We're a fully Apple household and it syncs perfectly with our lives. Essential with all the travel I do for work.

I was all geared up to get an Android, but I was given a brand new Nokia N97 shortly before my contract was due, and at the time, a free phone was better than having to pay extra for the upgrade.

But, I HATE this phone with a passion! It does things all by itself, changes ringtones whenever it feels, and the internet is ridiculous to use. I never know which is the top and bottom and sadly when the girls have passed me the phone I've been talking into it upside down and had arguments with the caller because I couldn't hear them LOL

I do like that it has a flip out keyboard - I'm another that prefers a real keyboard to a touch screen - I have sweaty hands and they never seem to work well.

My phone is on a capped plan, so I only have my mobile phone and my internet now - no landline and I save about $50/month.

So I am now considering spending the extra to upgrade to a phone I really like seeing as it's my (and the girls) only phone.

And now, I'm actually enjoying the Blackberry's - but I'm still undecided!!

iPhone here - only because I was given one through my husband's business. But I do love it. Showing my ignorance here ... I don't even know what an Android is!! Off to google.

iPhone for me. Love it and could not do without it anymore. I would also love a YLF app and would download it in a second.

Oh boy, am I the only non smartphone person? Sigh. Well I look at them all the time, but the weight of them (they are a tad on the heavy side) and the increased monthly plan turn me off. (my bill would close to double with a smartphone of any kind because of the added data plan fees)

I do have an ipod touch which satisfies my need for apps and I can use it wherever I can access wifi. As long as I don't mind not getting internet in say my car it's been a workable solution for me.

I had an iphone for some time that broke and now I have an Android.Without hesitation I prefered the iphone, as someone else mentioned the Android is either too sensitive or not at all.

I have been waiting years for a YLF app!

One thing that constantly bugs the dickens out of me is when I'm trying to read blog comments on my phone. I start reading the comments, scrolling down as I go along and the page loads. Then just as I'm near the bottom or in the middle of a sentence--the page finishes loading and automatically jumps to the top, and I have to scroll through and try to find my place again.

Greg, what features would a potential YLF app be likely to include? Posting/commenting/photo uploading capability?

I guess (not being a smartphone user yet) I'm not all that clear on what an app for a website would entail, compared to simply browsing & posting through the phone's web browser.

I'm an Apple girl all the way, and if the iPhone weren't so expensive here I would have gotten one ages ago. I love the idea of a YLF app, and I'm buying it as soon as I get my hands on that iPhone;-)

Just got an Iphone because of Verizon.- ditto Maya and Kyle.

smartphone - Nokia....

Kari, to answer your question on what an app would do... we would start with a fairly narrow set of features that would be specifically useful to someone on the go.

I agree with Maya that parts of YLF are not optimal when viewed on a phone, but we wouldn't start off by replicating all of YLF in an app. And I'm pretty sure that some parts of YLF will always be exclusively available on the web.

I have an iPhone, and as much as I always wondered what the hype was all about, I love that thing now!

Lisa, you are not the only one !!! And Patty, you cracked me up ! I also have a Trac phone, like QM. I am considering a Droid because it has plug ins. Though we are a Mac computer family.

However, I may forgo it altogether because I have an iTouch and a Kindle that plays Mp3's and podcasts along with a rudimenatry browser for certain sites. I LOVE IT !

Here's an article on the latest results of iPhone on Verizon vs iPhone on AT&T - FWIW. Interesting!

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetw.....n-verizons

This is their quick summation: "Wired says that Verizon still has a broader network. So, they recommend, if you want your phone to make calls, go with Verizon, but if you want your phone to surf the internet or watch movies, go with AT&T."

I have a Droid with a rhinestone cover that I LOVE LOVE!

Iphone- it's permanently attached to me (except at the gym).

I love it and would love a YLF app

iPhone and love it!

Palm Pixi Plus here ~ how's that for a girly-named phone? DH surprised me with it at Xmas and it's wonderful. Please don't leave me out of a YLF app, although I'm betting I'm the only one with that smart phone here (and just about anywhere)!

OK, slinking back into my cave again. . . .

Droid. It was a hand-me-down and I thought I didn't need a smartphone, but it's great. One of the first thing I searched for was YLF app

We are an Apple family, from phones to TV to computers to iPads to Nano watches. I am on my second iPhone myself.

I would LOVE a YLF app, even if it was just starting off with the blog posts. I switched my blog over to the Blogger Mobile look and I love it. Since I like to go back and re-read older posts on YLF from the same week, it would make it so much easier to do so. I bet you could do something with the store too.

Blackberry. I used to have one for work and got used to the keypad so I got one for personal when I needed a new phone.

I don't know if I'd get an iPhone after my Blackberry dies. I have an iPod Touch and love it but would hate to use the keypad on a regular basis. I think I would go Android, especially if BB Chat is offered on it.

Blackberry Storm 2 - LOVE IT.

My tech-whiz 25 year old son has the Android and has completely mastered it.
