Hi Fabbers,

Like my clothes, I am minimising my bags and wanting to only add quality items. I would like to add something in a light neutral and came across this bag. It is a bone colour, which might be too yellow toned for me?, leather, can be worn across body or the strap can be doubled so the bag can beld.

I am thinking it could be a good summer bag with my blacks.

May I ask what you think of it. Do you see it working for me?

Ooh ooh, I'm good at this! Lol! This would work great with your blacks but it might be not quite the right shade if you want it to work with black and white. Could also be a tad yellow to go with your hair? Love the chain straps though. Where is it from?

Too yellow toned imo in the photo at least The zip pocket doesn't look great to me either. The first one for your funkier side & the second for our more classic one

I think the style could work very well for your wardrobe, Deborah. The bone colour does seem a little yellowish in the photos, I'd personally prefer it to be a bit "whiter". I think it could still work with the whites and creams in your closet, but it may not feel as crisp as you intend it to be?
Good idea to email the store. Let us know what she says?

Deborah- I think that is a nice, practical and simple bag. If you are looking to add wow and minimize numbers of bags, I think each one you keep has to work a little harder. That one reads almost a pale sage green on my screen and I think accommodating the color could be tricky. Also, I picture you with a more sculpted, structured bag as a perfect foil to the fluidity in your outfits. I see how this bag could serve a purpose, but not necessarily the one you described in your post. Then again, I love bags and think having one make a bit of statement easily elevates an outfit once I have put the work into selecting the right one. Good luck!

That is a nice bag but it didn't immediately hit me as fab enough for you. I love the ones Caro posted. I think I also want the color to be crisper for your style -- this color looks tricky to me.

This also looks like one of those very flat bags -- almost like a clutch on a chain. Does that work for you? I find those difficult (unless we're talking about a larger clutch, which I do use) -- they get bulked out when I put my things in and lose the streamlined feel, unless they are built with a little depth. But I am very picky about bags being wider than they are tall (for ease of finding things inside), not having narrow openings that are hard to access, etc. That might just be me.

I'm loving the chain handle and the versatility it offers in how you wear the bag, but I'm wondering about the color as well. But pictures and links can be off in terms of "real life" color so it might be one of those things where you would need to see it to know.

The cut of this bag seems very casual to me and almost a little hobo with the rounded corners on bag and flap and very little structure. Style-wise, color aside, it's not a bag that I would put with your style.

I like it for your MOTG role, except I do worry the colour might not be right. Also, I concur with Janet about the size and shape -- and ultimately, I think you need something with a bit more zing to it.

I like the idea but agree it's probably to yellow to fit in nicely with your wardrobe. Cream or optic white would be really pretty, though!

I have learned over the last few weeks (since I became a proud owner of Rae's Precious' twin) that the right handbag can mean everything in terms of taking your outfit from nice, to outstanding. So, I'm all for you finding one great handbag that can work with your summer wardrobe - but this one reads as just kind of meh to me. I think something that is (as others have said) a crisper white and shape - as well as more texture - might work well with your style.
