I've got no business falling in love with this handbag.

Yet, the moment I saw it, instant love. Or maybe lust.

I usually carry a tote from Brahmin. Beautiful and wear like iron.

I checked out the tote from the line, and I was meh.

Oh it's pretty! It would be a nice way to add a touch of embroidery. And it's not crazy small, for non work times. When a bag speaks to me, it usually ends up being one I love to use and stays in my closet for a long time. A great bag can really elevate an outfit of jeans, casual shoes or boots and a simple top or jacket.

And there should always be room for a wildcard.

How's that for enabling?

I totally understand. I'm stalking a bag now. I do not *need* it, but I want it. I agree with Susie. An interesting bag can definitely take a simple outfit and elevate it. Here's the one I love:

I agree with Susie. I've gotten lots of use and love from my "wildcard" bags -- they can be such a great punch to a simple outfit, and they are conversation starters. I like that they don't usually date quickly, and like shoes, they always fit!

Thistle, it is a stunning bag and one that would work for many occasions, easily dressed up or down. Why wouldn't this one work for you?

Handbags can be worn every day so if you think you would use it a lot, it may be worth splurging on the one that you love.

Wow, it's really gorgeous. I also like the Rebecca Minkoff ones. I think my time on YLF has turned me into a certified bag lady. (And also a shoe lady.)
There are so many pretty embellished bags out there these days. I actually like the looks of this inexpensive one, online. And it's the "it" bag of the season, per Angie's recent post, a chain-handle crossbody.

You could just order it and if your wallet doesn't fit, then return it. You have to be practical.

I'm SO GLAD its Black - if it was Navy I would have had to add it immediately to the shopping cart!

If you love it, I'd say go for it. It would go with so many outfits and is fantastic to elevate a basic look.

The closest store to me that carries it is in Chicago. So not driving to Chicago for a handbag.

What do you usually carry in your tote? Could you use a clean-out/organizer session? Then having a spiffy new bag for your organized self could be a reward (and simultaneously force you to keep things in line).
