Beyond Rose Black Tea and fashion sites, my other breakfast indulgence is advice columns. I don't wear shoes in my house, because I like things to stay very clean. I was reading Miss Manners today, and someone wrote in saying that they were disgusted when their guests put handbags on the kitchen counter, because purses get so dirty that they are as bad as shoes. <https://www.uexpress.com/life/.....21/11/09/1> I don't put my bags on the floor anywhere when I'm out.

I never think of bags as being that dirty, though they do pick up a certain amount of grunge over time, particularly if they are light in color. I've tried shoe cleaner, but it doesn't always work as well as I would like or damages soft surface leather.

So I'm wondering -- do you disinfect or clean your handbags? And if so, what are your methods?

I've been coveting a high end handbag. Like this one but not necessarily this - I like the shape and the black and gold hardware. I'm on the fence because I prefer the way smaller bags look but I find it hard to fit all my necessities, including asthma inhaler and sunglasses. And maybe I don't want an expensive item that will become a vector of disease over time.
