Colette, I didn’t think I’d like the mixed stripes either!! The pinstripes are subtle enough that it doesn’t bother me at all.

Glad you gave it a try and are keeping! I love 1 and 2, and the crossover tops with the blazer are very cool, too. Not something I would have thought of, but the light gray one looks especially nice to me with the pinstripes and the extra drapey lines in the top. I like your last outfit, too.
Another thought I had was wearing the blazer with florals. Not sure if you have floral tops you'd want to try with it, but especially with the skinny jeans or leggings/boots, I could see a floral working.

Thanks Firecracker! I did think of florals, but the one I think would work best is at the tailor at the moment being shortened from a long tunic into a blouse.

Ok well I’m loving 1, 2 and 3.

wow....i think they all look great....
and since the 80s seem to be coming back, i'm wondering how you would feel about the blazer with shorts....i loved this look way back then...

Im thinking white or light grey skinnies with it, or blush/melon! I liked the higher contrast versions more for you than the black top with it.

Kkards, I’m sure it would work for that sort of look, but I’m not a shorts person, so not for me!

Suntiger, I had the same thought about it being great with white bottoms. That’s not a look I own or wear, but it would be a slam dunk for those who do.

I keep coming back to see how you've styled this. I have wanted a new blazer for ages. Now I'm thinking something like this could be just the wardrobe refresh I need for fall. I'm feeling kind of bored with the same old. This 80s is new again feel with the long length is intriguing me, mostly to see it on you considering you're more my size than the online models. I really didn't think my proportions and body shape could pull this off, but seeing it on you is making me really reconsider. May I ask what size you got? I'm thinking I may need the XXL in order to have the looser layering effect you got esp in the last pic (LOVE that one btw). Anyway, thanks for the inspiration!

YAY. YOU'RE KEEPING THE BLAZER.

*HAPPY DANCE*

Excellent wild card, and you styled it with sass and verve, Jenn.

abc, I got the XXL and I’m glad I did. It’s nice to actually have room to layer a sweater under. I’ve been searching for a new blazer forever, too, and had issues with sizing, as I also wanted kind of a cool oversized look rather than a classic fitted one.

Thanks, Jenn! I think you found the right one! All of your styling iterations look great. So glad you decided to keep it. OH and I did notice the arm scrunch really helped w/proportions, so I was glad to see that worked for you to scrunch them. Thanks again and great purchase!
