Are you kidding me????? Do I like this? I LOVE this! So chic and current looking - and it just seems to frame your face perfectly. This is going to UP your style quotient no matter what direction you go with your dressing. Very happy for you - and you're an inspiration for taking a chance!

LOVE it. Looks fabulous!

Dramatic! Very cool. Let's you really see you now. That's the one thing about long hair, it hides the face. Lol - I'm growing my hair out long (maybe for the last time in my life), just so I can put it up and get it out of the way. The irony!

Love it - you look gorgeous.

Love this! Bravo for taking the chop!

You did it! My god, you are my hero, Astrid!:-) It's such a great style, and suits you beautuful! I loved your older short styles when posted, so never had doubts you'll loock fab with a short cut, you go girl!:-)

Thanks Gigi! I looked it up and Amazon sells some of their product, not this one though. But it might be available somewhere if I keep looking. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks Staysfit!

Thanks Lyn! You know what, I just tried my plaid scarf from Scotland and it's so much better now with the short hair. It's definitely oversized but now it doesn't feel too big.

Thanks so much, Marley! I do feel more grown up with this cut.

Thanks Viva!

Thanks Rachylou! That is kind of hilarious. When I first started growing my hair long I was stumbling across a German forum all about long hair. They all wanted to grow their hair as long as possible, just to put it up and away so that it doesn't get damaged.

Thanks Missvee and Meredith!

Thanks Lyn! Then you were more assured than I was. This is definitely not in the same league as my old cuts.

Soooo good Astrid! WOW. Love it 1000%. Great shape for your face and your hair texture. I particularly like having my hair shorter in the winter, really does work nicely with all the collars/scarves. Hope you enjoy it and looking forward to seeing if it affects/enhances your outfits

Thanks Aida! I'm sure I will. I'm already a little bit in love with the short hair. Although I still did a small double take in front of the bathroom mirror just now.

It's beautiful! Give it some time and then you can have fun tweaking if you wish.

Thanks Una! Yes, definitely going to do that. I just made an appointment for December, it'll be shortly before I'm going to go home for Christmas. I can work on my routine and styling until then and see if this needs any tweaks or not. I think this is not something I can tell right now or even in a few days.

That's right. Hair needs to settle in after a big chop, and you need to get used to new styling options. I tweak mine incessantly just to avoid boredom!

That third photo says it all.

Fabulous, Astrid!! Super cute and super fun. You will enjoy this. And yes, let it "settle" a wee bit and you'll be able to tweak as needed.

Thanks Suz! And thanks for assuring me in the past that I could do it.

I love it! I remember how nervous I was when I first chopped mine off, so congrats on going through with it. It really suits you and looks fun yet "grown up" (I mean that in the best way!).

This is a very flattering haircut, Astrid. Love! It is a big adjustment to go short so give it some time.

Perfect! I can't believe how good it looks on you. It was hard to visualize what it would turn out like, but it's better than I could have ever imagined!

Love that you had the guts to do it. It looks really good. Now like you said you just have to figure out how to style it - product (at least for me) can make or break a look. I will be curious what changes if any you will need to make to your dressing.

When I had shorter hair I used this product and really liked it.

Astrid, it looks absolutely fantastic. Just have some fun styling it many different ways. I feel you can really do this with shorter hair. Change the part, no part, barrettes, curl it, straighten it, messy dry, etc.

For my fine straight hair I usually use Rusk texturizer when I blow dry, but recently bought a root lifter spray called Loreal Everstyle. Instead of spraying it directly on my roots, I spray on my palms and just rub in the section where I want more of a lift when I blow dry. Much much cheaper than the Keratase at my salon. ( I believe Keratase is owned by Loreal ). Oh, and I never use a brush when I blow dry, I just use my fingers and my blow dryer. For some reason it just looks the most natural and not styled if you know what I mean.

Gorgeous! Brings focus to your face, more sophisticated but not old, love it!

Well done Astrid. This looks very modern, and suits you so very much. I had gotten used to your previous look as very you, but somehow this looks so very, very right.

I know it is winter, but I imagined you in your beautiful floral dress with this new hair style. And, pants styles will look modern gamine. Have fun!

Absolutely love it!

Hi Astrid, good for you! You and your hairdresser caught the Audrey Tatou look perfectly. My only advice is to enjoy it--mess it up and play!

I had my hair cut quite a bit shorter yesterday, too. I generally do cut it when the weather turns cold, so that scarves and hats won't create a tangle of snarls at the nape of my neck. You may find it interesting to experiment now with different hats, high collars, big wrapped mufflers, etc. Winter can bring a whole new dimension to your style. Have fun!

It really suits you. It looks super pretty and bring out your features!

You brave girl. Nice length and you look so pretty:). Astrid you are a beautiful girls and this just highlights your gorgeousness:)

You look even prettier with your hair this way!

Ditto, ditto, ditto....I agree with all of the above!! You've done very well for yourself and this cut totally suits you.

Love it! We can see you now.
