I have been debating having my hair cut short for a few months and was leaning towards getting it done this afternoon at my appointment. Then I met some friends - one from Vancouver that I haven't seen in over a year - and two of the ladies commented on how much they loved my longer hair and when I said I was getting it cut short made me promise not to.

Now I am undecided again. I thought I would add a few pics from over the years at different lengths and colors and ask for opinions.

FIrst is long and light from about 6 years ago. Second is shorter but not light from a couple years ago. Third is shorter and highlighted and last is recently.

So what do you think? Short or long and dark or light? I am leaning towards getting the layers shortened by at least an inch and the bangs trimmed but not lightening. I noticed as I went through pics that when my hair was really light, I didn't look as good in my bright pinks and teals.
