I'm not expecting many responses given the holidays, but I just had to share LOL

I think I've decided to grow a bit of my hair out...

I do love the pixie for its style, convenience, ease and how practical it is, but I'm bored already! (I've realised this is why I've never had the same hair cut for very long - hair really bores me!).

So, I'm thinking of keeping the back very short, but just growing the front lengths out a bit so its longer at the front. I'm kind of wanting something to put some cute clips or headbands in.

I have an appointment on the 4th for a cut and colour, so I'll chat to my stylist then, but any input in the mean time would be fabulous!!

Who knew boredom was the problem with me and my hair all this time LOL

It sounds like a good plan Theresa. You'll have the edginess of a pixie but with some versatility.

Theresa, that's what I'm doing. I love my pixie but I decided I needed a little change so am growing it in front. And considering color. Blond has actually crossed my mind (we can blame Angie).

Oh, that is funny! I really like your ideas - I think they will be great fun and I can just see you adding a hairband or some clips to your hair.

(Oh and I can completely understand - I've just some blonder/ashier foils added to my hair because I was also inkling for a change.)

Theresa, I like the idea of a long pixie for you. I was reminded of Anne Hathaway's do here (it's a wig, but adorable nonetheless):

Maya, I actually think Anne Hathaway looks way better with that pixie than Emma Watson does with hers...so yeah, it's probably a more generally flattering cut.

C1, I think the reason it looks so cute on Anne is because even though she doesn't have dainty features, her large eyes and large smile are still feminine features, and she still has a pretty bone structure.

I have large features too, including a large nose, and no cheek or chin definition whatsoever, so really short hair would look awful on me. In general, I agree that pixies work best on people with dainty features.

Theresa can pull it off the best though

Thanks Ladies! I'm glad you like my idea! I'm a bit wary of growing out this pixie though... I'm not sure how its going to go!!

hehe Taylor I can imagine you would see an awful lot of women with short hair attention spans LOL

Maya I do like that AH look - and now that I've worked out how to use goop, I could probably handle that sort of length! And thanks for the compliment

So if anyone has tips for growing out the long front bits, just let me know!!

That's nice.. it means that you are always opened to changes. When I go to the hairdresser I never paint the same color twice.. have the same problem.. like to change
