In all likelihood I will trim the bangs and bring the hair up to the collarbone. That length tends to look best on me. Check out the girl with the silvery hawk though.... Love!

Yah me too, Ceit. I've had it a bit shorter than chin length before. I donated the hair. It was ok, not my fav length though. And awkward for work. Too short to put up, but too long to be down...technically. I've been know to be spontaneous at the hair dresser though....so who knows!

I hear you! I so love Pink's hair, and Miley Cyrus...but my natural hair is so very curly, and my eyebrows are so pale ( invisible) that my face doesn't have the defination to carry off a pixie style cut.

I hate wet hair dripping down my back after a workout/ shower, or always resorting to a pony tail. The worst, though, is the Bozo the Clown look of a mass of frizz sticking out from under my cycling helmet!

My solution is to have it long enough for a stubby pony, but short enough that it clears my shoulders.

Sigh.

I think you're right Nicole. See the thing is, I have bigger ears so I don't think it's right for me. But, I also have to wear my hair up everyday for work. So what's the difference!? Anyway, I'm sure it won't be cropped this time....but some day.....some day I will show up to work with that hawk, lol!

Raisin your hair is pretty straight isn't it? I think you should go for it. I love a lot of short hair on other people but mine goes super, curly and cow licky...Whenever I have had it short I have been sad. My sister also said it makes me look like a teenage boy and she was strangely right.

Here's the shortest I've been. I did not like it because I specifially told her I wanted it all one length and not the super, angled bob....and she gave me the super angled bob. It was like 3/4" in the back. Took FOREVER to grow out. Sorry 2 are really blurry, but they are right after the crop. 3rd is about a month later

If I had your hair Raisin I would definitely go short! Sometimes I love my waves, but for short its a lot of work. My bf who has super straight hair got a very short bob at christmas time and I met her after her hair appointment and I think I gasped at the chicness!

Oooohhhhh Angie! I think the severe straight bangs scare me even more! Lol, well maybe not quite, but I'm afraid of severe too. Scaredy cat all around! I did like Katie Holmes when she did her hair like this though. And it looks cute styled wavy too. Which, is sort of what I went for last time, minus the bangs, but it didn't quite work out.

Well straight and long suits me fine now. It's usually mid summer that I get the mad urge to just shave it all off! Lol! It's also the fact that it must be up for work everyday. At least a short hair cut has more style than a ponytail or bun.

Yes you'r right Angie mine is still severe, but I don't get it cut straight across, it's a bit choppy. It still moves side to side, parts, looks more natural to me. This is my idea of severe bangs, but I know, mine are still close. I also like the sides of my bangs to be a bit longer so when in a ponytail it has more natural shape. Rooney pulls off the super-severe bangs well.

Oh I agree you would rock a severe bob, but you could keep your bangs the way you like them rather than super strict (I think Rooney also has thick hair and yours is a bit finer, unless it's all haircutting magic?). The style would look particularly *amazing* with your dress uniform. But I suppose you don't wear the red uniform so often.
How short does the cut have to be to allow you to wear it down? That would be the deciding factor for me - since you mentionned that last time it was awkward since it still needed to be put "up" for work. I would want either short enough to leave alone or long enough for an easy ponytail, but I am low-fuss.

Jules I haven't worn the red serge in years. It comes out for special occasions like Remembrance Day or medal ceremonies. I haven't been in either one in a long time. Oh, and then your hair better be plastered to your head! Lol, no experimenting in the serge!

Yes technically hair can't fall below the bottom of the ear, including ponytails, so they have to be in a bun. I usually keep a small ponytail, not the length I have now, but still longer than the ear, and no one bothers me. My hair is so straight buns are really hard to keep up. I would have to go pixie for it to work as is. When you work out of uniform you could wear like Katie Holmes hair in the office, but even though my uniform is different for my job it's still a uniform, belt and vest everyday, so I have to put my hair up. You know what their main concern is about having hair up? So someone doesn't grab your hair or ponytail in a fight and beat your face in. It happens.
