Hair Cut and Slight Colour Change

Hi Ladies,

Finally got to have a much needed colour and cut today.

Every now and again it seems like a good idea to add a bit of my natural colour back into the mix so we did that today. The idea being that the contrasting darker shade should make the white blonde look really good

But in the mirror it looks so dark. But in the photos I can clearly see the blonde:) What do you think. I can tone it at home to brighten it up, but I think maybe I am just very sensitive to any change.

My stylist also 'point' cut it this time which adds a bit of texture and choppiness if I choose to wear it that way.

Am I just a bit crazy? Do you think it is blonde enough? Truly when I look in the mirror it's not this blonde ???

Sensitivity to change. It is definitely blonde -- I love the different tones and shades. The cut is soft yet angled. Your red lips and earrings are fabulous accents.

I REALLY like the new colour! It looks blonde, but with a lot of depth and character. I think if you brighten it, it might wash you out. It looks great just as it is.

OK - first of all, what is your natural hair color?
Second - I love it with the added darker shades - it gives it some depth and natural looking texture. I think that it is really pretty and the dark pieces help bring out the features on your face.
Third - your question, "Do you think it is blonde enough?" - I don't know what you mean by "blonde enough" - so, I'm not sure how to answer the question! How do you define "blonde enough?" Tell me that, and then I can give you my opinion, OK?

Marley, my natural colour is dark blonde, say the same colour as my eyebrows:) The blonde enough thing, is related to the fact that I think blonde against my face works well with my skin tone. Too dark and my skin looks flat and not 'alive'. And I have a non logical attachment to being blonde...

Your hair definitely looks blonde to me - and I would still identify you as a blonde - no doubt about that! How about showing us some pics of your full face with your "new" hair and then we could tell you if it is making your skin look "flat".

Deborah, I love this. It is interesting on so many levels: great cut, great texture, great colours, great mix of blonde and darker tones. It's a very rich hairstyle, if it makes any sense. I can't wait to see this creation in the combination with your outfits.

I love it too. As a dirty blonde I have to rein in my impulse to go really light. And my stylist does check me once in awhile. It suits your skin tone which is something not everyone considers when lightening.

Blonde and beautiful! Love the layers and the depth of color. I wonder if you'll feel the same in a week or so. I think we get so used to the way our own hair looks that any change seems really striking at first - more so than it appears to others.

Oh, I love the extra dimensions in your new colour! And it's still not only blonde but light blonde, at least from these angles. But I understand your sensitivity: my sister has been dying her hair light blonde for years and this summer she got some lowlights. She called me so upset that the hairdresser had turned her into a brunette; then she came over to visit and her hair was still light blonde to everyone but her!
