So last week I decided to take the plunge and purchase a pair of Frye Carson Lace Ups in "taupe" as they are on a pretty steep discount on Zappos. I eagerly awaited for them to ship. And waited, waited...
Waited....
On Monday I started to get nervous because according to the website they hadn't been pulled from the warehouse so I called. Not only was the hold time very short and C/S rep friendly as all get out but he had great news: the shoes would arrive that very day! They are having software problems and shipping statuses are not getting updated. NEAT!
So later that day the shoes arrive. YAHOO! But hold on... this sure doesn't look like "taupe". Yes, my invoice says taupe, even the box says taupe on it, but these shoes are most assuredly yellow. Which is odd because while the Carsons do come in yellow they are not on offer at Zappos. Even acknowleding that colors look different in real life than they do on a monitor there was no way this was taupe. So back on the phone....
Another very short wait, super friendly, helpful C/S rep and they place an order for another pair, free of charge to go out the next day, over night. Wee! She assured me that I was probably not crazy and that it was possible the shoes were mislabeled at the factory.
The new pair arrived today and these ones are indeed taupe. I love them! Photos tomorrow... Nude booties! I think they will look cute with that Anthro dress I picked up a week or so ago.
