What an inspirational event! The YWCA Charity luncheon is always fantastic event. It reminds us of how lucky we are and what we can do to help others. Angie, thank you for being a guest at my table!
Jane Fonda was funny, thoughtful, and motivational. She talked about how she analyzed her life at age 59 for her 60th birthday. She was trying to decide what she wanted to do in her 3rd Act. Based on her review, she discovered as a child she was playful and brave, but lost that in adolescences when she was taught to be a good girl and do what others wanted. She talked about little girls learning at age 10 to be a good girls, thus losing their enthusiasm and vitality. So moms, embrace your daughters energy and encourage them to bloom. She looked fantastic! She could have talked for hours and we would have stayed.
What to wear? I wore a purple, black and white buttoned up patterned cardigan, black pencil skirt, fishnet hose and black boots (it was 40 degrees this morning with a high of 47 anticipated - where is Spring in Seattle?) Angie can share what she wore. She looked fab!
