Gryffin, I hope you don’t mind my copying your reply to Kari with your suggestions on leather repair places.
Your suggestions are very useful and I would like to have them in an easy to search format, just in case anyone needs them.
If anyone knows of other good sites for leather repair, please feel free to add and also please reply to Kari.

Joyce B thanks for pulling this out into its own thread.

i'd also recommend that you look for a location person. in my mid sized city i've found a shop that does custom leather work and takes on repairs and alternations. we also have at least one shop that will reweave/repair moth holes.

Joyce - I hope those sites are helpful. I was very interested in the "without a trace" site but I have never used either vendor. I think these repairs are a lost art. Like really good watch repair, hard to find. So I threw them out for consideration. I'm hoping someone will have personal experience and be able to weigh in on the workmanship.
