Greg - hmm . . . I'm having a problem!

I am unable to write a comment on any of the threads. I will type up my comment, click on submit - and I immediately get a message that it has been blocked due to a potential nasty virus. I haven't been on the forum for a few days - is there something that I need to do to my computer to get me "back in the groove" again???

Actually it says "Malicious URL virus blocked."

Hi Marley. It might be that your antivirus software is mistaken about the YLF adress (we're not a virus! ). Perhaps the fact that we moved servers over the weekend has something to do with it.

Also, I assume that you are able to post a new topic (like this one) and it is only replies that are a problem. That might be a clue.

Have you been able to comment on the blog?

This same problem happened to me today on my laptop. I thought it was my laptop acting up... Out all day; am posting this from the iPhone. Will check later tonight. Thanks! L

Thanks thimbelina. I now know of three people who have experienced this.

I have run the site through all the major virus detection services that can check for malicious URLs and they all report that YLF is "clean". One possibility is that the virus software is mistakenly detecting the change I made over the weekend as the sign of an attack. So I need to know which virus programs are reporting this.

If you do experience this problem I would appreciate it if you could contact me (the contact form, or feedback@youlookfab.com) and let me know:

- Which anti-virus software are you using?
- Are you on Mac or Windows, and which version?
- Which browser(s) are you using?

Marley... How did you get this to work? I finally had to just pause my Avast security when I'm on YLF and then turn it back on when I leave. Our security system was set up by a freelance consultant after a bad virus last winter and I don't want to go in and monkey with his permanent settings. And, since it feels like I am paying every other bill under the sun this month, I'm not eager to call him just yet. Let me know if I'm missing something here... L

thimblelina, you should have some mail in your inbox from me. I am in contact with Avast and they tell me there is no reason for it to give an error for YLF, but we know it does anyway. I found today that the error doesn't show up on my test PC when I use Firefox. Marley was going to try Firefox tonight and I hope those posts above mean that she was successful.

I don't think it is a good idea to turn off the anti-virus software, even just to use YLF. Better to stay on the safe side.

If at all possible give Firefox a try and let me know how it goes. If you need any help getting Firefox up and running, just let me know.
