Greetings from Zapotee and MaryK in NYC!!

Here we are, cutting quite a swath through the Upper East Side! Big fun! And ZOMG we found an actual brick and mortar Comptoir Des Cotonniers store, where we (okay, me) created quite a stir!

Now we are having lunch before another round of consignment shops! ETA us and our lunch!

Nancylee - LOL! There was no other way to describe my feeling. I actually made myself laugh as well! Something about girls getting together for good food, shopping, and sightseeing in a great city brings out my happily hyper side!

Bring on more NYC scenes, ladies! I was telling my DSO last night that I want to go to New York for a weekend this spring - it's only an hour flight from here. We shall see if he'll oblige. He's good at finding the deals!

Just back home from yet another amazing day. I did not score anything, it turns out that I'm too big (and perhaps too tall) for upper east side consignment stores ( as the ladies dropping the stuff off are generally super petite) but Mary made out like a bandit. I'm telling you!!!!

I still love my curves so I left with my self esteem intact! LOL.

I'll let Mary disclose the amazing finds!!!

Bella - Yes, it is the Zara blazer. It turns out it has a little bit of a fit issue for me - it pulls at the arms when I sit down, but I'll try to see if I can still exchange for a larger size. If not, my daugther has her eyes on it already!

ETA: and please tell your son that I enjoyed his company as well. You have raised a gentleman Mary. You must be so proud!

OMG! Best day ever!! Zap is so fun and nice and sweet and good grief -- PATIENT given that my consignment store methodology is to try on everything in the store that could conceivably fit me! She did try on a black and white coat that looked AMAZING on her but decided it didn't quite fit her personality so she left it behind despite my enabling! LOL

DS says "hi back," and says he really enjoyed meeting you and having brunch together!

I did indeed make out like the proverbial bandit:

Black pants and matching blazer for half off minus 15% at Comptoirs Des Cotonniers
Black pussy bow blouse with white butterfly print at same place

Beautiful multicolor silk/spandex pussy bow blouse at Consignment Store 1

And the mother lode at Consignment Store 2:

Red Burberry raincoat
Gray tweed wool and silk blazer
Missoni skirt with tags still on
Escada silk blouse with tags still on
Striped cotton button-front shirt that actually fits over my bosoms

Big fun!! I'm wearing one of the blouses to a show tonight!!

Thanks again, Zap! I haven't had this much fun since CocoLion and the gals came to town!!

I knew it was a S&K, Zap!! One of my favourite coat brands :). We have a similar taste thing going I see - we picked up a lot of the same stuff while we were shopping.

Glad that you and Mary had fun. How could you not? Two such fab ladies prowling around the Upper East Side sounds glorious.
