Hey all!
We’re embarking on our Amsterdam to Basel river cruise today, but we have had an amazing, full time of the last couple of days walking all over the city, visiting the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum (which actually moved me and Jamie to tears), and eating and drinking with our friends. I’ve logged an average of 10 miles of walking a day for the past three days!
1) A WIW photo for today — we’re about to do a very touristy (but from what I hear worthwhile) canal tour, and then head to the ship this afternoon. Lighting is horrible but you get the gist.
2) I tried on this COS blue dress and quite like it. I didn’t buy it but if it sticks in my mind, we’ll have a day back here before we fly home, and maybe I can get it then. Pardon the black Ondo no-show socks. I was fighting jet lag too!
3) A cute green quilted jacket in a secondhand shop somewhere in the 9 Straatjes. Only €20 so maybe I should have gotten it.
4) The only purchase I have made a packable duffel from the Rijksmuseum store.
We have had fun watching people while sitting outside at a cafe sipping drinks. Street fashion is all over the place! Everything goes. I love it. This is a place where you can just dress to please yourself. Jamie and I had a fun little game last night identifying people who had capital-S Style!
