This is from several weeks ago. In June, I went to a friend’s graduation party in a beautiful rural home with some people that I really enjoy.

To our added delight, when we arrived we found that the host had these adorable, roly-poly lab puppies who were awaiting leaving for their new homes (they all had loving homes to go to, otherwise I might have made off with a few!) My heart overflowed. It was pure chaos and so much fun.

I wore a green caftan dress from Universal Standard, satin twill, a little longer and more unstructured than I’d usually wear. I prefer it unbelted. I wore the same light gold Rebecca Minkoff bow mules that I think I’ve had on in every recent post - I swear that I frequently wear other shoes, but these are so easy to pair with everything and extremely comfortable. Added a gold and black fringe pendant necklace.

Honestly I’ll be surprised if anyone even notices what I’m wearing in these pictures as those pups rightly steal the show.

I also have been playing with bright, bold eyeshadow for the first time ever, and this party seemed like a fun opportunity for color.
