I just admired these on my friend and thought that someone might be interested.
Beautiful, rich cognac shade, available in other colours too. From the maker of comfortable shoes. I'm tempted, but I've already filled the booties wardrobe hole.
I just noticed that you collected them, and immediately re-collected them, Ornella. It's a beautiful shade of cognac, and the style is sleek and simple. Heel height is excellent too. And Gabor footwear is often very comfortable. I might prefer a slightly pointier toe for myself, but they are beautiful booties for sure. ETA: I could see Astrid and you both end up with a pair;-)
I too would prefer slightly pointier toe (e.g. Una's Topshop booties?), although having seen these in person I think they do not too classic at all. I agree that I could see both Astrid and myself with one pair I still have higer priorities on my needs list, but when that's sorted I'll reconsider these.
I bought the Paul Green Ava boots in truffle and LOVE them! Bloomingdale's also carries them with free shipping/free returns, if you want to try them...
I can speak to the quality and comfort of Gabor shoes. I have a black pair that is going on to its third season. They were ridiculously expensive. But, I've worn them 50 times since I got them (yes, I know because I am counting), they are the most worn pair in my boot selection, and they still look new and are as comfy as the first day.
Thanks for the review Bella. I had Gabor ballet flats in the past but even for my taste they were too classic - although super comfortable. That I do remember. the selection in Germany is surely much better and I'll add the brand to the list of ones to keep an eye on.
Both my black ankle boots and my oxfords are Gabor. They're both showing some wear, but then I've certainly worn them a lot. I'm not quite sure if I'm satisfied with the quality considering the money they did cost. Although this probably wouldn't be an issue for people who have more shoes to change things up. I am quite hard on them.
