This just reminded me of something an acquaintance told me. She was from the South, and ended up for some reason living in North Dakota for a year or two, for work. She had assumed that everyone would hibernate there during the cold months, going out only when absolutely necessary, and she was surprised to see that people actually cranked up the social activity to the max! It was everyone's way of making the best of the reality of such a frigid climate. I am imagining that to be the case for style in Quebec too--not giving in. It is a great outfit; I love the touch of red in the gloves
