Dear YLF,
I have received the best news in a long, long time: my PET scan from last week was all clear! I can not describe how relieved I am. Of course, the darn things could always come back at some point, but for now I am going to try and push those thoughts as far out of my mind as possible.
I would also like to take everyone very much who commented on my previous health thread and apologize for not answering, I was trying to figure out if I should bring that one back or start a new one and opted for the second choice. And tho those who were asking, yes, I taking levothyroxine (synthetic T4) only. I will discuss addition of T3 in a month when I see my endocrinologist again, but I did some reading and learned that most doctors do not like to prescribe T3 to thyroid cancer patients as it often messes up results of blood tests used to monitor cancer.
The scans have also showed that there is still a lot of muscle and nerve damage in my neck as well as inflammation so I need to go back to intense physical therapy, and start exercising. That is going to be a little tough with my extreme fatigue and loss of muscles throughout this whole ordeal, but I am going to take it slowly.
So, at this point I need to slowly start settling into some kind of normal life. There are lots of things to do, and I am constantly fighting this tiredness, but hopefully I will feel gradually better.
