Great (cheap) fix for slippery boots/shoes

I found 'Fab Feet non-skid tread' stick-ons for soles at Target for only $2.99 for a 2 pack and they work wonderfully! I put them on a very slippery pair of boots and it made a world of difference...I also cut down a piece to put on the heel bottom too. I think I saw them at Amazon and Zappos, along with drugstores. Just wanted to tell anyone interested how well they work!

Oh, this is the product I didn't know existed! I have several pairs of shoes that scare me because of slippery heels, but I didn't know what could be done about it. Thanks, B-Mom!

Oh, this is a great idea! The clog booties I just got have FELT on the soles. No kidding. Someone actually thought that was a good idea.

You're welcome, ladies! I wanted to try them before I posted so I waited a day and tried it on different surfaces and was SO happy that they really worked! Im glad they are easily found and at a cheap price too! I would get extra and cut down a piece and put it on the heel bottom also...Maya, I have a pair that has like a cardboard feel and I thought 'are they kidding'? But it helped a lot! Sure hope it helps yours and April's too....

Am I the only one who remembers scuffing new shoes with slippery leather soles on brick paths or brick hearths to roughen them up? Did that many a time as a child. . .

Let us know how well they wear over time if you can!

I do that now Sparky! I fundamentally do not understand the need to make soles smooth. Do footwear designers choose to ignore the functional purpose of shoes or do they just not care?

I have a pair of shoes that I hesitate to wear just because they are slippery. Thanks for telling us about these. Who would have thought there would be such a thing.

Sparky, a lady at the salon I go to told me about that trick (actually it was scuffing them in the parking lot, but close) and that helped with my SM boots, but couldnt do that with my others...but this did the job! LB, I really hope it helps you too- no fun just looking at pretty shoes you own!

I've used these and they work great in dry weather. If they get wet they peel right off. Just a warning... or maybe I had bad luck.
