I love a cool belt, but most of them are so boring. The brand “b-low the belt” popped onto my radar and I ordered one- it’s a win! Fabulous quality and really interesting styles. Highly recommend. https://www.shopstyle.com/browse/B-Low-the-belt
They are unfortunately more expensive than the average belt. BUT I’ve tried really cheap plastic belts just to get some great color or style- and I never wear them because the materials just feel gross. This one is nice leather, sturdy and soft, looks really well made.
Jessikams--i own 2...they are as you note fabulous quality...Shopbop carries this line and i got my 1st one during one of their friends and family sales where they do 15%-25% off your purchase...
Oh, those are really great. My existing belts are getting so little wear because rises have come up and my waistline has gotten bigger, and tucking and belting are not so appealing to me at the moment. But I am loathe to get rid of my old beloved belts -- maybe I'll get rid of enough pounds that I can bear to wear them again!
Oh, this is good news! I am struggling to find decent belts after years of not wearing any, and you are so right about the lack of interesting, quality belts for women. I buy men's leather belts for my jeans if I find a decent buckle on one. I recently found a western style belt at Massimo Dutti that would have been perfect except the quality of the buckle was laughable. I can't tell you how helpful you've been!
I'm with Bennett. I haven't worn a belt in 10 years, and live just fine without, but do recognize that they add that extra touch to an outfit. These prices seem ok to me - compared to prices of other good belt lines out there. Cheap belts just look like that: cheap. Despite being a very average 6-8 in a pant, and anywhere from a 28-30 in jeans, I am sized out of many women's belts, which puzzles me. The next pair of jeans I buy will be getting a belt friend to go along with them . Thanks for this suggestion !
With high rise jeans I depend on belts to hold them up. My best belts have come from the men's department at The Rack. My newest is a stretchy beautiful burgundy leather for my burgundy jeans that were falling down. If you look often, you can find colors. My best gold metallic, navy, red, and white belts are men's belts. Also a studded black and various Browns with cut outs. All are leather. The hardest part is finding your size.
I've seen this brand and been tempted, hesitated to buy since many of their belts are one size and they look like there is a lot of tail end hanging down in the photos.
Janet- to belt or not to belt, so tricky given changing body and changing pant rises- there are a lot of factors!
Joy- stretchy belts are THE BEST but so hard to find (in a polished, appealing finish).
UmmLila- you’re right that many of this brand’s styles have a long tail, and I was concerned about it, but they’ve thought of everything- the piece that hangs is nice and soft so it won’t stick out and look weird.
I love belts. Thank you for the recommendation. I will check them out. I like the looks of the ones that kkards has. I have a few belts from a Canadian company called Brave. Some of them are from 2005. Mr. SF just puts more holes in them for me so I can wear them with different pants. He has a special tool.
