It's been a while since I posted a hair update. Last August with visions of Helen Mirren hair, I consulted my hairdresser. Blonde highlights are the way to go, she told me. My silver locks will gradually mix in with the blonde. The first photo showed the result. I didn't really like it, and it was too blonde for me.

Then in October I met up with my sisters. Shock--neither one dyes their hair. I'm the middle child. Both are blonder than I was and blue eyed, while I am brown-hazel. Their hair has gotten darker, but not a gray hair that I could see.

Then as my hair began to grow out, I realized that my previous hairdresser hadn't been quite truthful. My hair wasn't nearly as gray as she kept telling me. So three months ago my new hairdresser and I agreed to do lowlights instead. I felt more like my real self. Now I am eight months growing it out. My hair is darker when I first had lowlights, and they gradually fade. These last photos show you three weeks since last low lights, 4+ months since last highlights.

Bonus shots: (not fashion--just at home yoga pants and old tees and sweater) to show those of you who are still getting blizzards--wisteria bloomed a couple of weeks early because of warmer winter and maybe lack of water.

2nd photo is 2-3 months of highlights, showing roots.
