I had my birthday discount to consider using, so I went to Anthropologie yesterday afternoon. And, at the very last minute, I fell head over heels in love with a brand new, not even on the floor yet jacket, the Graham jacket made by Harlyn. Reader, I married it.

You all: this is wildly flattering and comes in the full range of sizes, petite, regular and plus. The muted gray and black glen plaid is matched down the back seam, and the edges are finished and bound with tape, which is a nice touch. It has big snaps that close it, not buttons. There is a back vent, a nice menswear touch. The fabric is a jacquard knit, which means it isn't ugly when you roll back the sleeves. I can dress it up or down or wear it over a black sheath dress. I'm 5'1" and I got the small regular, and it seemed TTS. The patch pockets (with covered buttons, how I love covered buttons) are positioned a bit high, so they were very proportional for me, and I didn't feel like I needed a petite. But! When a regular item works for a petite person, it means a very, very petite person is likely to get a good fit in a petite.

Really worth a try!
