My last forum blurb before I am off for the day to rest my typing arm.

The infiltration of black, Winter white, taupe, tan and grey wardrobe items for Fall & Winter is here. Apart from burgundy, colour is definitely on the downswing - which means GRAB the colourful items as you see them because they will be in short supply sooner than you expect. We will have to wait till Spring to see them in large assortments again.

Teal..... I feel the need for teal........ Burgundy and purple are running like rivers of Pinot Noir in my closet, which is great!

Funny as I just realized (big duh) that I wear more brights in summer. I am liking the burgandy, charcoal and black for fall - combined with my cognac purse to lighten things up a bit

Noooo I will be sad to see the color go! Have been trying hard to make my early purchases colorful, nice to know this was a good plan. There are a couple other colorful pieces I've been eyeing, I guess I should scoop them up

I'm good with that! My capsules for fall/winter are primarily navy/gray/cream and black/white/cream/burgundy.

I've got a couple of fuchsia sweaters, one or two purple and some dark green pants. That's plenty for me!

I guess I'm glad I bought soooo many colorful items this summer/fall! Happy that burgundy is widely available at least. I guess the lack of color is good for me, as I need to not shop for a long time.

I just changed my closet over to F/W this past weekend and was a bit surprised to see how much color I had for the season. 95% is from years past. Oddly, the only color I've been adding lately is burgundy. As a color, I really don't like burgundy--at all (unless it's in a wine glass). But for some reason I can't get enough of it this year, and I'm looking forward to wearing it. I have a couple burgundy sweaters now, and I'd like to add a pair of burgundy jeans. Go figure.

ETA: Just remembered that in my massive purge this Summer I rediscovered my first ever NAS purchase from about 8 years ago. A burgundy handbag. The tags are still on because, well, I don't like burgundy;-). Hopefully it will come out to play this year!

I was just noticing this tonight perusing sweaters. There were tons of gray, black and cream but very little color.

It is interesting because although I love the bright colors - fuchsia, teal, cobalt, I have been wearing almost nothing but grey and black this fall. I am really enjoying the neutrals and moodiness of the greys and blacks.

I should think about adding some color soon though. I think I have worn black and grey for over a week.

I did order these navy boots though. I am not sure if they count as color since they are technically a color.

Thanks for the warning! I did manage to buy a long-sleeve cobalt blue top, which I am grateful for. It's really energizing in the cool weather. And I got a mustard-colored skirt, which I can wear with the ubiquitous black leggings. And I got a wrap tee from Anthro in some kind of wine color. Now I just need some red pants, and I'll be set!

I'm taking advantagd of somd burgundy. In fact, have to remember to be PPP and not just buy for color.

I'm with Beth Ann. Could use some teal. Not summer bright teal, not pastel or light teal, but a good rich teal. Emerald is too green, and blue is too blue.
