No pix yet. Just want to say I am happy with the fit and also the warmer weight of the wool.

I didn't get red but I'm waiting to see owners of the red show them off.

YAY. Thanks for the validation, UmmLila. I wore mine yesterday. A GREAT pair of trousers. I was thinking of duplicating in another colour, but cannot find another colour I love as much as the red.

I hope yours won't be too big, Lisap. They are not supposed to be a slouchy trouser.

I got grey and black, just to see which I liked better. I think your idea for a larger size might be good. These fit closely across the bum and hips for me, but as Angie said, are not form fitting on the thigh. I'm going to keep my size though ... My hips and waist are so close the size up usually ends up a fall down if I try it.

Hmm. I went for my smaller size. We shall see. They are supposed to arrive Thursday, so if they are not horrendous I will post pix (they are the red). Hope to see your pix soon!

How are you styling yours, Angie? (with regards to the colour? - I'm really intrigued by red,) And regarding the size, I've never worn J Crew pants , so had no idea and wanted to err on the size of loose rather than fitted.

Lisa, you'll hear about that in Thursday's morning blog post. But briefly here: with white footwear and bag, white tops, light blue tops, citron tops, tomato red tops and an assortment of blazers (ink, tartan, seersucker and citron). Also have a floral pullover and want to buy a blush and tomato polka dot blouse. Plaid shirts look good too.

(I don't want to wear with red pants with dark footwear, or black tops).

I like the Maddie's much better because the hems are narrow, which looks great with flat footwear (which make my feet happy). I LOVE wearing the Maddie's with my flat white booties and white loafers. (See below). I had to wear the Express pants with a two-inch heel, which my feet just don't like as much anymore, unless they are the Okalas.
