Got my Buddha bag today

It is pretty darn gorgeous. Really nice vegan leather, and lightweight to boot.

The only problem is that it is black. Let me preface this by saying there is nothing wrong with black bags, but I wear so much black and lately I have felt the need to cut back on getting anything new in black. I was really hoping for the grey or the tan, which is a really pretty creamy color, because it would look nice against all the black I wear, but oh well. It's still a really nice bag.

I have to take a picture of me + bag for Budget Babe so when I get around to it I'll post it here too.

Maya I can see the black bag going very well with alot of the cute outfits you posted on the blog. Maybe by looking at those pictures again you will see that you have more opportunity to wear a black bag than you might have thought. I am thinking specifically of that really cute grey tunic with the uneven hem.
You are such a darn lucky winner. You should buy a lottery ticket.

I'll tell you what. That bag is SUCH a statement piece, with the design, I think that having it in a statement color would be way over the top. Black would've been my preference. Black is versatile but it can be boring. It's not boring if it has such an interesting design!!! This is exactly how you should "do" a black bag, if you're going to, don't you think?

I agree with the others, I like this bag a lot, and I think that this is the way to go if you are going to have a black bag. I am sure you will put together some amazing outfits with it.

I didn't want it in a "statement" color, just another neutral than black. I wrote this in an email to Angie: Yesterday I wore my black moto jacket with black skirt, black hose, black boots, dark sunglasses, and of course my black hair. My friend told me I looked like a secret service agent. Which was kind of cool and badass but also a wake up call at the same time. I need more white/cream in my life for sure.

Anyway, it is also moc croc so there is definitely a lot of texture to work with. My hesitation was mainly due to my fall-weight jackets, which are both black.
