Hi all,
I heard about the International Princess Project awhile ago and thought I should share.
They sell Punjammies- gorgeous pj's made by women who have been rescued, released or escaped from a life of forced prostitution and now live in an aftercare facility.
These aftercare facilities provide quality medical care, emotional safety, education and the tools to create a new way of life for herself. Making Punjammies empowers each woman by giving her an opportunity to learn a marketable skill and become a part of a viable business. By providing for her basic need to support herself, she sees that she has value far beyond what the lies have told her.
Every PUNJAMMIE purchase creates
A fair trade wage
Deposit into a savings account
Financial support for holistic care
Capacity building for more women to enter the after-care center.
I ordered two pairs for myself about a year ago and a pair as a gift for a friend. They are great quality and I wear mine ALL the time.
The only thing I didn't like was the band on the bottom of one pair- it's a little scratchy so I'd suggest getting a pair without the band if you are going to use them for sleep.
I thought it was a brilliant endeavor and was happy to support it and wanted to pass on the info
