What do you all think of these items? I told my self I would not buy just because something is inexpensive and I am shrinking out of my current wardrobe ..... I also want to pick items that fit well and not something that is too big or small.

1. Old Navy's fit and flare-shirt dress under my long sleeve Tee. Too plain or unflattering? I kind of like the flair.

2. Mint jacket. This should go with a ton of teal I have from winter. Would this be good for an interview? Or too bright and casual?

3. Tunic cotton blouse with ribbons. I love this, but is it too unstructured?

4. I really like this, but it feels almost too big. Is this color OK for spring? Seems wintery..... But I love it.

I like the mint green jacket on you but would skip the rest. You will find better things.

Another vote with joy -- the jacket is in a hot color for summer and looks fun. The other pieces aren't great fits to my eye and aren't quite as "fresh" in style. You have a great and distinctive style. Be picky and take you time and in a few months you'll have a wardrobe that really works for you.

I'm going to say skip all of them. Not good enough for lovely you. I not Keene on thenfitnof the jacket and the quality looks questionable:(

I would say skip them all. #1 doesn't have a food fit. I am not sure the jacket hits you at your waist in 2. What does it look like open? 3 fits but I think it needs a belt to be figure flattering. Ad. Would take off the flower on it. The top button on 4 looks like it is pulling. Sorry.

I agree with Deborah. I like the mint jacket, but it seems a tad short and maybe snug.

Nordstrom Rack has a mint green Gibson blazer right now that is adorable and flattering, and on a great sale (yes, I bought it!). I can't recall where you are -- is there a NR near you?

Sorry to be a spanner, but these items just aren't good enough for lovely you :(. Here is my reasoning:

#1 is a little snug on the mid riff

The cut lines on the waist in #2 are unflattering in this style

#3 isn't too unstructured but the colours wash you out.

#4 is pulling at the bust, and it will pull even more when you sit down. I think it might "feel" big because the pouffy sleeves are big.

I realize that you fell in love with some of these items and I love that level of item passion! But correct fit and attractive colours are also important, so take my opinion for what it is worth to you.

I am leaving all of the items. Thanks for the objectivity which I don't seem to have yet. I am not sure if it is me unhappy with my body still, or me unhappy with the clothing.....but nothing seems right.

I went into Anthropologie last week for the first time while on vacation and felt like the styles were perfect but the fits of what I tried were wrong. Maybe I am not giving this enough time...I don't know.

I am wondering if I need to go with blouses from a store like this:

Every blouse I try bunches at the bust....maybe I am trying the wrong styles but button ups seem to look the best on me......size up and they just feel big.....but although my bust is large-ish I am not sure I need a specialty blouse because my waste is not tiny.

Congratulations for your weight loss. It's the most difficult time to understand fit because one still has a different mental image. Repeat constantly when needed, "It's not my body, it's the clothes."

Sorry about your items. I've been in the same spot (with Goodwill).

There is bound to be a blouse/top style out there that not only works for your figure, but also your style. Have you tried any of the great wrap and mock wrap tops out there? Maybe knits would work better for you than wovens, or wovens with some stretch. Don't be discouraged. It's a process for sure.
