I went for my first walk today since the nose surgery and the sprained ankle. One time around the park, 6 minutes. Ankle didn't complain. I wore my 10-year-old Tahari black leather jacket, a surreptitious sale find. I haven't worn it much lately--it was too snug for a time. Now even though I weigh the same as when I bought it, I have shrunk in height and those formerly stretched out inches have settled around the middle. A bit tight zipped up, horizontal wrinkles in back, maybe too sharp of shoulders for me now. Also worn with one of my seldom worn Paris '15 scarves. Don't know why it languishes.

A visitor borrowed it for a NY Eve walk around the streets--must have been 6 years ago. She loved it, but I wasn't ready to let it go then. Now I am going to ask her, but she's changed as well. It's still in good shape, lining perfect, leather supple--I clean and condition it every spring even though I don't wear it much.

And then there's the ruffles in the back. I call it a peplum because I don't wear ruffles.

So here for one last round.

Start with one week ago, just after I got the stitches out. I need a much smaller bandage now, everything healing great.
