So glad to hear Ruth is OK! Now she can go back to having fun - those pictures are so great.

Woo hoo just read that Ruth is on the road to recovery. Hopefully she will grow out of the eating everything phase as she is still a youngun. I know mine did, but not until she had torn through 7 pairs of shoes (only my shoes) and countless other items. Hope she has a speedy recovery!

Thank you for your kind words, Inge, VC, Donnat, missvee, Sara, Kristin, Rachy, pil, and Glory! We visited Ruth today, and she gladly ate some poached chicken that I brought her. The vet wanted to be sure everything was going well, so she'll be staying until tomorrow, but she looks so much better already. Tired, but with a light in her eyes. Here she is.

So relieved! I'm such a terrible housekeeper I could never have a dog, much less a puppy. Are uber expensive shoes more appealing to dogs ( i.e. more chew worthy) as they are to women?

Ha-ha, Donna, Ruth definitely had a preference for new and expensive items, be they shoes or electronics. I think anything she saw us use, handle, or wear at some point fell victim to her sharp teeth. Having a naughty dog does teach one to put everything away fairly quickly. I would say Ruth greatly improved my housekeeping skills.

So pretty and cute! Although she will wait yet one more day to come home, I'm sure it'll be worth it to have her fully rested and healed up before she comes home to start being her old self again.

Poached chicken? Spoiled puppy Ruth is a very lucky girl!

Hang in there, she'll be home tomorrow - and you'll have the rest of the weekend to make sure she's right as rain. I'm very happy that she'll be ok.

Oh yay! Ruth is going to be fine. I loved all the pictures of her you posted. what a special doggie she must be!

Whew, what a relief! Good going, Ruthie! Especially since I started reading this thread with a sinking heart, I can't imagined how relieved *you* must feel, DJ!

Thank you Lyn D., Mani, and Claire and VC (again)! Ruth is back home and looks more like her old happy self. She is eating and pooping normally! It's really amazing to think how far vet medicine has come!

I am so glad things went well. I'm sorry I completely missed this one out

Very glad she's ok!
