JAileen, it's wise to stay as safe as you can.

We DID get a 4th employee in produce. But that's not all! A girl from dairy has tendonitis and can't lift heavy objects so she's in produce right now too. We are STILL scrambling to keep up with demand, but it's only hectic now instead of brutal. I will totally take it and put it in the win column

Cindy, that’s good news. Does she go back when her tendonitis has healed?

Good news - have traveled to Boston for the weekend.

First hotel stay since Feb, and - armed with bleach spray and Lysol to disinfect all surfaces upon entry, refusing housekeeping except replenishment of towels and supplies - feel comfortable staying here.

Seeing older son for the first time since January, and seeing younger son settled in after moving up here 2 weeks ago for a 15 month stay here on his first assignment.

Going to a restaurant for the first time since Feb.. Outdoor only.

However - it is just quite stunning how empty and quiet this city is. As we live in suburbs, which are normally pretty quiet, the silence and darkness of a city just barely coming out of lock down was more shocking than I anticipated. Locals say it's positively buzzing compared to what it was like in March at the beginning.

That must be really eerie to see a formerly bustling city so quiet. I don’t know if I’m ready to travel yet, but seeing our kids is a powerful motivator, isn’t it?
